What kills green mold on hard, non-porous surfaces

A few common household products are widely recommended on social media and do more harm than good. Tea tree oil, grapefruit-seed extract, and essential-oil blends have some laboratory antifungal activity but lack EPA registration for mold remediation, and the oils themselves can stain or damage substrates.
