This YoLink kit bundles one hub with six Leak Sensor 4 units, each carrying its own 105 dB alarm, and links them over long-range LoRa radio for app, email and text alerts. It is aimed at larger homes, rentals and properties with outbuildings where Wi-Fi sensors struggle to stay connected. What sets it apart is local device-to-device control: sensors can trigger a YoLink siren or shutoff valve directly, even when the internet is down.

YoLink YS1603 + 6x YS7906 — LoRa hub kit with six 105 dB leak sensors, app/email/SMS alerts and offline device-to-device control.

How It Compares

The only water sensor family on this shelf that claims offline sensor-to-valve control

Of the 18 similar listings compared here, nine are water leak sensors and the rest are refrigerant and gas leak tools. Only one other listing mentions working without internet or triggering a shutoff valve, and it is another YoLink kit built on the older Leak Sensor 1. That kit’s listing also notes its sensors have no built-in siren, which makes this Leak Sensor 4 bundle the louder choice on its own.

Long-range radio is shared with three GoveeLife 1s packs, which use Sub-1G radio, app and SMS alerts and a 105 dB alarm, but their listings say nothing about valve control or offline operation. The METAK, STECHRO and RUIKORING detectors on the shelf are local alarms only, and the Ring Flood & Freeze Sensor relies on Amazon Sidewalk rather than a hub.

Two details this listing leaves out are worth checking. YoLink’s three-pack listing for the same Leak Sensor 4 mentions an IP66 rating and a low-temperature freeze warning; this six-pack listing states neither, and it does not describe the hub’s network connection either.

Who It’s For — and Who Should Skip It

This kit fits owners who want whole-house coverage from day one: six sensors reach water heater, washer, dishwasher, kitchen sink, a toilet and the sump or floor drain. It is especially suited to anyone planning to add an automatic shutoff valve later, since the offline trigger is the feature that keeps working during an outage. Skip it if you only need one or two spots covered, where a smaller kit makes more sense, or if you would rather not run a separate hub.

Using It at Home

  • Connect the hub and name each sensor by location in the app so an alert tells you exactly where to look.
  • Place sensors flat on the floor at the most likely failure points, and under the lowest point of a finished basement if you have one.
  • Test each one with a damp towel and confirm both the local alarm and the phone alert arrive.
  • Note battery install dates; AAA cells are easy to swap when the app warns they are low.

Mountain cabins and Front Range homes left empty during winter trips are where long-range, internet-independent alerts earn their keep. Spring snowmelt and sump pump failures are common sources of basement water here. A sensor alert means a plumber for the source; lingering dampness, staining or a musty smell afterward is a reason to contact us about a moisture and mold inspection.

Pros

  • Offline sensor-to-siren or valve control
  • Six sensors, each with a 105 dB alarm
  • LoRa range for outbuildings and large homes
  • Replaceable AAA batteries

Cons

  • Requires a separate hub
  • Shutoff valve sold separately
  • Waterproof rating and freeze alerts not stated in this listing
