Thermal Cameras Do Not See Through Walls

Cold spots on drywall in winter often indicate missing insulation behind the drywall, but the camera is reading the drywall surface, not the cavity behind it.

Thermal Cameras Do Not Directly Detect Moisture

The camera reads those temperature differences and the user interprets them as likely moisture. Walking the roof with a thermal camera in late afternoon or evening reveals wet spots in roofing materials (different thermal mass than dry materials), missing insulation patterns, and condensation problems. Most useful for flat or low-slope commercial roofs; less commonly used on residential pitched roofs.

The Rental Workflow With FLIR

Battery Management

Storage Capacity
