How to Use a Paint Swab Kit Correctly

  1. Scratch through all layers. Use a utility knife to expose every paint layer down to substrate. A swab applied only to the topcoat misses underlying lead layers.
  2. Apply on a freshly exposed surface. Don’t apply to dust or aged surface — fresh exposure of all layers is essential.
