What Does Bad Mold Look Like? The Seven Warning Signs
“Bad” mold — meaning growth that warrants prompt action rather than a routine wipe-down — usually shows at least three of the following seven indicators. Surface mildew on a clean shower tile rarely shows any of them. A wall-cavity infestation generally shows most.

What Bad Mold Does to the Building

Semi-porous surfaces like sealed wood or vinyl wallpaper can usually be cleaned if treated promptly.
